Hi, I’m Stephanie.
I’ve been with McDonald’s for 15 years. My journey started at Rosny Park McDonald’s and it has been nothing but eye-opening, challenging and one of the best journeys I’ve ever been on. I have worked my way through every role, handled the challenges put towards me, and now I am the general manager for the JBM organisation which includes the Rosny Park and Howrah McDonald’s currently being built.
My passion for the McDonald’s brand is all about training, development, pride in your brand and future planning. We are very fortunate to be able to hire at 14 and to grow young adults into the strong leaders that they are today in whatever field they wish to pursue.
We have been active in community engagement for over 12 years. All our employees are given the opportunity to complete their retail qualification in certificates II and III all funded by our organisation.
In this presentation I will talk to you about development, hiring, leadership, passion within our business. I will also talk to you about the roles from crew to management and the exciting opportunities in travel we have been lucky enough to send our senior leadership to.
I look forward to talking about my pure passion for McDonald’s in our development at the next Business Eastern Shore meeting. I will see you then.
"Just Dogs has had the honour to have received various awards quite a few times over the years. The awards are proudly displayed in reception on a wall for all our customers to see.
Having this acknowledgement also endorses the dedication my staff have achieved in giving each client great customer care and most of all true passion when grooming their dogs.
We strive as a business to give that care to all our clients. And having it acknowledged means everything.
Thank you so much for taking the time to consider and honour our business, it means a great deal to my staff and the business. These awards give you credibility and with that, you strive at all times to do your best."
"We were ecstatic to hear that we had won the “Customer Service Award, Retail” at the City of Clarence Business Excellence Awards 2021.
As a family owned, local independent business operated by a father and son team the award is priceless to us.
We pride ourselves on customer service and treating people the way we would want to be treated.
Thank you, John and Business Eastern Shore, your support is appreciated."
"Business Eastern Shore has presented us with an award recognising our achievements in customer service in the retail sector. The opportunity to celebrate our achievements among other small business owners is a fantastic experience and I always find it very inspiring hearing other business’ achievements in the City of Clarence area. Thank you to the team at Business Eastern Shore for organising such a great event."
"John from Business East introduced himself to me shortly after the opening of the Pooseum in 2018. Since then, he has been a wonderful business mentor, supporter and friend. Whenever I needed advice or practical help, John was always there for me.
John’s regular email updates and the monthly networking events keep everyone informed about new developments.
I would also like to say a big thank you to John for organising the Business Excellence Awards, and for encouraging the Pooseum to participate. The award was a great acknowledgement of what I do, and it looks pretty good on the front desk of my museum!"
"Gloo are very thankful for the recognition of our connection and commitment to the business community on the eastern shore through the 2021 City of Clarence Business Excellence Awards – Professional Services Award (Highly Commended). Many of our valued clients and suppliers are current members of Business Eastern Shore or have their businesses based in the area. Business Eastern Shore and the Awards pave the way for all kinds of businesses and organisations, and supports them to grow and prosper.
The awards have provided exposure to even more businesses to connect with over on the ‘sunny side’, the opportunity to develop a relationship with Business Eastern Shore and its wider network, and our team has celebrated this recognition."
"I first came into contact with Business East around 9 years ago when I was trying to put together my first business plan. John from Business East came to our property and I went through what I wanted to achieve with our lavender plantings.
He advised me on the best way to start creating a business plan and looking at the business idea from a realistic point view and not one through rose coloured glasses.
Having that contact over the next 9 years whilst developing our vision should not be underestimated. Knowing that you have resources to draw on and that no large consultancy fees were attached made the daunting process of starting a new business a little less stressful at a time when every dollar counts towards your success.
In our case we started our business in October 2014 from nothing, we have gone on to create 18 new jobs in a regional area, substantial economic benefits to local community, a new visitor experience, GST and Tax revenue that simply didn’t exist prior to this time.
We are very thankful for being able to access the services offered by this dedicated and passionate team."
"Thank you so much Business Eastern Shore, you have been so supportive of my business. Seminars held at the Bellerive Yacht Club and Blundstone Arena provided much needed information on all areas of business with some truly wonderful guest speakers, members of the Board have been approachable and have so many varied skill sets.
John Beard was instrumental in negotiating for me the purchase of the assets of established portrait business in Richmond called “Olde Time Portraits”. This was a dream come true as I had worked for the business 25 years earlier. John also provided reassuring phone calls through the Covid period, our business was impacted due to lock downs and border closures, email newsletters provided link to services required at this time.
My name is Helena Blundell a well known Tasmanian photographer having 30 years experience as a wedding Photographer, a contributing photographer for the magazine Tasmanian Life, have a Diploma of Visual Arts (majoring in Photography) and Cert 4 in Design (Graphic design.)
Olde Time Portraits is now located at Blackmans Bay Beach and offers costume themed portraits for the whole family and in multi sizes. Themes include Wild West, Saloon Girls, Convicts, Gangster, 1920s and Classic Victorian. they also offer Chidrens portraits and cake smash first birthday shoots.
Thank you John for making my dream come true!"
