The Business Tasmania service provides support to Tasmanian business owners across all stages of the business lifecycle. From starting a business, to running and growing a business, the team help connect business owners with appropriate, often free support services, including with experienced business advisors through the Tasmanian Business Advice Service and the New Business Support Service.
Bronwyn will cover how business owners can access free business advice in Tasmania, an overview of key services, and how to find resources and funding opportunities.

Michelle Grubb WorkSafe Tasmania
Michelle Grubb from the WorkSafe Advisory Service will deliver a practical overview of what a PCBU (Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking) needs to do under the Workplace Health and Safety Act 2012. She will cover key responsibilities like managing risks, identifying hazards, providing the right training, and consulting with staff, using simple, real-world examples. She will also highlight the WorkSafe Advisory Service. This free and confidential support option for businesses is a bit like a safety check-up—offering guidance and advice to help you spot gaps and improve your approach to health and safety.
Graeme Facy Fire and emergency management consultant
Graeme Facy has been working in the Fire and Emergency Management industry for 15 years and nearly 30 as a Volunteer Fire Fighter.
He has a worked all over Australia supporting many different industries including aged care, hospitals, hotels, shopping centres, office buildings, schools, entertainment venues and sporting venues.
